About Us
Friend Tire Company was established in Monett, MO in 1956 as a small wholesale retreading business, later converting to new tire sales only.
In 1984, with a sales force of over 60 travelling weekly to territories throughout the midwest, annual sales totalled over $47 million. Later that year the sales operation was converted to phone sales and delivery, the system in use today. This move allowed the company to grow substantially in recent years.
Today, many of our dealers do business with us via this website - a considerably different way of doing business compared to our early years!
Friend Tire Company is now owned by Yokohama Rubber Corp. and provides quality tire products and professional sales support to independent tire dealers in 14 states. For more information, take a tour.
